The Down Low on Hemp Seed Oil.
If you’ve searched for CBD products to add to your repertoire, you may have come across the ingredient hemp seed oil also known as Cannabis sativa seed oil. There’s a misconception that hemp seed oil and CBD oil are the same thing, as many people use the terms interchangeably, but in fact, there is a very big difference. Let’s get into some of the top questions around hemp seed oil, its uses, benefits, and more.
What’s Hemp Seed Oil?
Like CBD, hemp seed oil is derived from the Cannabis sativa (hemp) plant, and while it’s rich in omega-6 and omega-3 fatty acids, vitamins B and D, and other antioxidants, it contains little to no CBD (cannabidiol) and no THC (tetrahydrocannabinol). Manufacturers extract hemp seed oil from the seeds of the hemp plant, then add the oil to their product. It’s often used in creating personal care products, snacks, and cooking supplies.
Does Hemp Seed Oil Have the Same Benefits as CBD?
We love to sing CBD’s praises. It helps increase blood flow, decrease pain, promote relaxation, and CBD lube can take your sexual pleasure to new heights. Unfortunately, hemp seed oil does not have these same benefits. Hemp seed oil has wonderful nutritional value, as it’s rich in those essential fatty acids and vitamins. Consuming these nutrients may result in some health benefits like reduced inflammation or improved skin, but that’s something to consult your doctor about. The relaxation and pain relieving properties that we love in CBD cannot be found with this ingredient.
Should I Avoid Hemp Seed Oil?
Not necessarily. Hemp seed oil may have cardiovascular, digestive, and skin benefits due to its vitamin and antioxidant content, so it’s not a bad thing if it’s in your favorite snack bar or lotion. However, if you are looking for the specific benefits of CBD like pain relief and other therapeutic properties, hemp seed oil isn’t the right ingredient to look out for when making your purchase.
What Type of CBD Should I Look For?
Full disclosure: We love full spectrum CBD. Research suggests that full spectrum offers superior benefits compared to its isolate and broad spectrum counterparts. Unlike other forms, full spectrum retains all cannabinoids, including trace amounts of THC, which is the psychoactive component of cannabis. The presence of THC in full spectrum CBD is less than 0.3%, which is not enough to produce psychoactive effects. This synergy among cannabinoids contributes to the “entourage effect,” enhancing its therapeutic potential. You’ll find full spectrum CBD in our collection of CBD lubricants.
How Can I Use My CBD Oil?
You’ve come to the right place. We’ve compiled a list of some other uses for CBD arousal oil, besides intercourse with a partner (although we highly recommend using it for that, too!). And if you aren’t sure which CBD sex oil is right for you, we recommend using this guide for some quick tips.
